Social Distancing Changes to Office Access

It goes without question, this is an unprecedented time for you and your family, as well as for our business and our employees. As we navigate the uncertainties and constant changes associated with the coronavirus pandemic, I want to personally provide an update on CEFCU’s organization-wide efforts with a focus on:

  • The health and well-being of our members and employees
  • Maintaining ongoing account access and security

Since our first communication on March 2, we have activated additional measures in our Business Continuity Plan to continue critical business functions while in strict adherence to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.

Out of an abundance of caution and care for our members and employees, we strongly advise members to use eBranch, our online access system, and our mobile app to complete transactions. eBranch users can complete many in-branch transactions from the comfort of home, with the exception of cash transactions and wire transfers.

Precautionary measures for visits to our office locations

Currently, CEFCU is open for business and continues to be operational with the following temporary precautionary measures in place.

  • La Cañada Office
    Office access is limited to members with scheduled appointments for  essential and time-sensitive business, as well as consumer lending services. To schedule an appointment, please call (800) 592-3328. We offer a secure drop box and Drive-Up Teller as contactless options at the La Cañada office. The secure drop box is located near the ATM, and we have extended hours for our Drive-Up Teller window. Members can use the drive-up teller for deposits, loan payments, check disbursement, and cash withdrawals up to $3,000.
  • Real Estate Loan Center
    Office access is limited to members with scheduled appointments. The Real Estate Loan Center is strictly a processing center with no services for consumer loans or account transactions. To schedule an appointment, please call (800) 592-3328 ext. 404. Through our online Real Estate Loan Center you can view rates, apply online (purchase or refinance), and check the status of your application throughout the entire process.
  • Caltech Campus Office
    Effective, Thursday, March 26 our Campus office s temporarily closed. Staff are reassigned to other offices to cover critical functions and transactions.
  • JPL Office
    Our JPL office is temporarily closed. Staff are reassigned to other offices to cover critical functions and transactions.

During these evolving times, we encourage you to use the phone, online, ATM, secure drop boxes, Drive-Up Teller, and our mobile app to access your accounts. When you call us at (800) 592-3328 you will not reach a call center. You will speak directly to a CEFCU representative.

Over 70 years ago, CEFCU was founded on a simple philosophy to serve the financial needs of the exclusive Caltech community. This philosophy still guides us today and will continue to guide our response through this pandemic.
